First time growing radishes
I've never been too enthusiastic about radishes but seeing that they grow so easily here, I may as well look into sowing seeds every year. These and red leaf lettuce are the only vegetables that we're harvesting right now.
Thanks for visiting my garden. Here's my response to your very kind comments. "Thank you, I'm always so happy when my garden gives pleasure to others. Some of my roses had some aphids when they were first in bud, I usually just rub them off with gloved fingers to begin with and wait for the benificial insect numbers to increase (you must leave something for them to eat) so that a balance is achieved. Sparrows also come and eat the aphids but they often damage the rose bud too." Your radishes look delicious - the flea beetle made mine look rather ugly although I do hope there is a enough leaf for them to grow; I sowed some more yesterday. Christina
Kat - I just find it so funny that Blogger was down and I had absolutely no clue about it. Geez...I should just get out of the garden more often. Teehee!
Julie - either radishes don't do too well in Hawaii's beachside climate (I don't ever remember them being a big deal at the farmer's markets there either), or they never really caught on. I know that it would've left an impression on me if my dad had grown them when I was a kid!
Faith - just when I thought there was no hope of finding anything other than the small, red globe type, I found the ones that have white tips (although I don't believe that they are the French Breakfast variety). Sowing more beets and radish today!

Easy is so often underrated, especially by gardeners, it seems. Crisp, sharp radishes with a pinch of salt, yum ; )

I love radishes. Even the greens are good.
